Abstract
Reverse total shoulder replacement aims to help to repair a rotator cuff tear arthropathy. Naturally, the ball of the joint is located at the end of humerus. In this procedure, the glenoid will be changed into a spherical object and humerus head can articulate around. This allows deltoid muscle to lift the arm instead of rotator cuff.
Affinis inverse reverse shoulder prostheses consists of four main components: metaglene, glenosphere, inlay and stem. The metaglene and glenosphere will be connected to the glenoid while the inlay and stem will be inserted into the humerus. In the case of a ruptured rotator cuff in a fracture situation, Affinis Fracture Inverse will be used.
